Upcoming Routing Number Retirements - Business Customers
Important Updates for our Business Customers
Nicolet National Bank will be retiring the following former bank routing numbers in 2024 and 2025. To continue future payments or deposits being processed after the retirement dates, please update information to the Nicolet National Bank primary routing number 075917937.
What do I need to do now to prepare for this change?
If you are using a former bank’s routing number on direct deposits, automatic payments or paper checks, those items will need to be updated. Think about auto payments you have set up to pay bills like utilities, subscriptions, or annual tax payments. This also affects incoming ACH or tax refunds. If you are using paper checks with a former bank’s routing number, please order new checks with the Nicolet routing number 075917937.
• If your current check stock has one of the retiring routing numbers, please make plans now to reorder with the Nicolet National Bank Primary Routing Number of 075917937 prior to the retirement date listed.
• Review the Automatic Debits section on your bank account statement to recognize the vendors where you may need to update the routing number information.
• If your business originates ACH transactions with Nicolet National Bank you may need to update recipient information within your template or software. Review your recipient information to see if any of the above routing numbers are being used. You may be able to perform a search with your software on each of the routing numbers and update them to the Nicolet Bank Primary Routing Number of 075917937.
• If you have automatic transactions set up with a former routing number, you may receive a letter from Nicolet National Bank indicating a change is necessary, and for which transactions. You may need to login to the vendor’s secure site to update the information.
• After retirement date, payments, deposits, or checks cannot be processed with a retired routing number.
Federal Reserve Bank - Notifications of Correction
Nicolet National Bank has filed paperwork to notify the Federal Reserve Bank regarding the retirement of routing numbers. “Notifications of Correction (NOCs)” will be sent to vendors and service providers asking them to update the information to the Nicolet Bank Primary Routing Number when a transaction comes through with a retiring number. A Notification of Correction is allowed through NACHA Rules and is a non-dollar entry transmitted by a Receiving Depository Financial Institution (RDFI) to notify the Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI) and the ACH Operator (The Federal Reserve) that information contained within an ACH entry is erroneous or has become outdated and must be updated.
In the retirement process, The Federal Reserve Bank is generating NOCs on behalf of Nicolet Bank to notify your originator they must update the information to the Nicolet Primary Routing Number of 075917937. This is to help make this change seamless, however some vendors have their own defined process for making the change and may reach out to you directly.
Why is Nicolet Bank retiring these routing numbers?
At acquisition, Nicolet National Bank does not retire routing numbers out of convenience for our new customers. We understand a banking change can be stressful, and we like to ensure checks, deposits, and payments continue to post seamlessly at acquisition and retire after the customer has had more time to update and transition.
Who can I contact if I have questions about these changes?
Please stop by your local branch, call your local banker or 800-369-0226, or email us at [email protected] for assistance in updating this information.
